The final evaluation report has informed the development of the new Strategic Note (SN) of UN Women Turkey Office for 2022-2025 and has been used for developing a new three-year project in field of women’s leadership initiated in 2021. Despite the delays faced in the finalization of the evaluation report due to serious health problems of the team leader, the CO extensively used the draft version’s finding and recommendations in these programme formulation processes. It should be acknowledged that the project under evaluation was implemented over a seven-year period (2014-2020) which was characterized by significant political changes in the country, that directly impacted on the original Theory of Change. UN Women appreciated the reconstruction of the Theory of Change by the evaluation team given the long implementation period and the amendment carried to the original project document. Even though that reconstruction prepared a clear basis for the evaluation of the project, it should be noted that many of the 31 findings are at micro level, and some can be merged. The CO notes with appreciation the 5 recommendations of the evaluation which have been fully taken into consideration in the development of the new phase of its programming on women’s leadership as stated above.
